Jesus, The Only Way to Salvation

Question: Is Jesus the only way to Heaven?

Answer: Most people would say, "I'm basically a good person, so I'll go to heaven". "OK, so I do some bad things, but I do more good things, so I'll go to heaven". "I go to church and read my Bible, so I'll go to heaven". "God won't won't send me to hell just because I don't live by the Bible. Times have changed!" "Only really bad people like child molesters and murderers will go to Hell".

These are all common rationalizations, but the truth is that they are all lies. Satan, the ruler of the world, plants these thoughts in our heads. He, and anyone who follows his ways, is an enemy of God. 1 Peter 5:8 says, "Stay Alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour". 2 Corinthians 11:14 says, "And no wonder, Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light". In other words, Satan is a deceiver and the father of it and often disguises himself as someone good, but he has control over all the minds that do not belong to God. " 2 Corinthians 4:4 says, "The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God".

It is a lie to believe that God doesn't care about small sins or that hell is reserved for"bad people". All, not some sins separate us from God, even "little white lies". Everyone has sinned, and no one is good enough to get to heaven on your terms and not God's terms which are just and right. Romans 3:23 says, "For everyone has sinned; we all have fall short of God's glorious standards". God's standards are very high and we, because of our sin nature can not meet His high standards. Getting into heaven is not based on whether our good outweighs our bad; we will all lose out if that is the case. Romans 11:6 says, "And if by grace, then it is no longer by works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace". And Titus 3:5 says, "We can do nothing good to earn our way to heaven".

Matthew 7:13 says, "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction (Hell), and many go through it". Even if everyone else is living a life of sin in a culture where trusting in Gos is not popular, God will NOT excuse it. Ephesians 2:1-2 says, "As for you, you were dead in your transgression and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient".

When God created the world, it was perfect, it was as God said, "very good". Then he made Adam and Eve (Our parents of all who live on this planet) ad gave them their on free will, so they would have a choice to follow and obey God. But they were tempted by Satan to disobey God, and they sinned. By one man sinned entered into the world. This separated them (and everyone that came thereafter, including us) from being able to have a close relationship with God. He is perfect, holy, loving, forgiving, and He is a just God and he must judge sin. As sinners, we could be united with Him in heaven. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son (Jesus), that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life". And Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord". You see, Jesus was born for one purpose only, to die (as a sacrifice, a lamb without blemish) for our sins so that we would not have to. Romans 4:25 says, "Three days after His death, He rose from the grave, proving Himself victorious over death (Jesus defeated the devil and has the keys of death). Jesus bridged the gap between God and man so that we may have a personal relationship with Him if we only believe".

In John 17:3, Jesus says, "Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent". Most people believing God, even Satan and his demons do as well. But to receive salvation, we must turn to God, form a personal relationship, turn away from our sins, and follow Him. We must trust in Jesus with everything we have and everything we do. Romans 3:22 says, "This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference". The Bible is very clear, in John 14:6 (Jesus is referring to Himself), "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me". Jesus is the only way of salvation because He is the ONLY ONE who can pay our sin penalty (See Romans 6:23). No other religion teaches the depth or seriousness of sin and it's consequences. No other religion offers the infinite payment of sin that only Jesus Christ could provide. No other "religious founder" was God who became a man (See John 1:1, 14). The only way an infinite debt could be paid. Jesus had to be God so that He could pay our sin debt. Jesus had to be man so He could die. Salvation is available to all only by God's grace, through faith, and in Christ Jesus alone". Acts 4:12 says, "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we MUST be saved". (Note: That in believing in Jesus Christ will also come persecution, but do not let what I have said deterr you from repenting and putting your faith and trust in Jesus Christ).

In conclusion, I hope this blog gives you an understanding about where you'll spend an eternity. Jesus is the only way to heaven and it because of our rebellion and sinning against a just and holy God, we are in need of salvation. So, friend, where will you be and what will you do? Will you laugh, scoff, ridicule, or hate me because of what has been written above? I hope you will take what I have stated dear one regarding your eternal destiny, because believe it or now, we all suffer, do wrong, and eventually die because of our sin. After death, we will have to stand before God on the day of judgement (And it is coming), so will God see that you have repented of your sins and put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ, or will you continue to live in sin, thinking you will get into heaven based on your own good merits or because you live a good life? Knowing this information, Romans 1:20 says, "For since the creation of the world, God's invisible qualities - His eternal power and divine nature have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. I hope you will accept God's free gift of salvation. However, if not, then there is no hope. God Bless and I hope to see you in heaven.
